Follow a lifelong Surfer as he re-visits many of the places he’s surfed over his 50 years of surfing on Long Island. Starting in Long Beach in Western Long Island and heading East to Montauk, The End.

Surfer John Beattie suffered a stroke in 2007.  After two years of therapy and healing his doctor gave him the ok to drive again the first thing John did was grab his video camera and head to the beach. If he couldn’t surf anymore then he would stay connected to Surfing by filming others. He decided to return to as many of the places he used to surf and rediscover the surf and the people who surf them now.

For the three years, filming of A Hundred Miles to The End covered the length of Long Island from Long Beach to Montauk.  A Hundred Miles to The End features some of New York’s best Surfers and some of it’s best surf spots. Mikey DeTemple, Will Skudin, TJ Gumella, Balaram Stack, Trip Patterson, Jesse James Jockel, Chris Tomlin, Quincy Davis and more. This Surf film was shot exclusively on Long Island, featuring Long Island Surfers.

A Hundred Miles to The End has one of the best sound tracks ever in a surf film and features Long Island Musicians and bands.
